The clean woody fragrance of Kanuka helps to create an air of vitality and calm. It supports healthy respiratory and immune functions, and is especially useful for natural recovery following illness. Kanuka can also be used to help soothe and protect the skin. Blends well with: all Eucalyptus oils, Cypress and Cinnamon Leaf.
- Chest and Throat
To assist healthy respiration, add 5 drops to a steam inhalation or into 1ml Sweet Almond oil and apply as a chest rub. Repeat as required.
- Healthy Feet
Kanuka oil has anti-fungal properties that can be useful in foot care. Add 1-2 drops directly to affected area. Add 15 drops to a footbath after visiting the gym or pools, enhance effect further with 5 drops Lemon and 2 drops Cinnamon Leaf.
- Immune System
Add 5-10 drops to a bath throughout winter to promote a healthy immune system, especially when colds, flu and viral infections are about.
Supports healthy digestion, as well as natural recovery in the intestines and colon following diarrhoea. Add 3 drops to 1 tsp of honey, add 1/4 cup warm water, stir and sip slowly. Repeat 3 times daily for 10 days.

The Kanuka is a tall native tree from New Zealand in the same family as Tea Tree and Manuka. The M ori and early settlers of New Zealand used Kanuka to treat dysentery and diarrhoea and it has been reported as beneficial for urinary infections, reducing fever and respiratory complaints.
