In the Middle Ages the herb was placed beneath pillows to aid sleep and to ward off nightmares. Knights were given thyme to give them courage as they went into battle. Thyme was also placed on coffins during funerals as it was believed to assure passage into the next life. High quality thyme oil
Great for respiratory conditions. Can be used neat on a tissue for inhaling but be careful due to its strength as it can feel like it is burning the lips or nostrils if the oil touches the skin directly. Effective in a diffuser or next to a pillow / dabbed on a collar. Soothing for muscles or as a chest rub when mixed with a carrier oil such as sweet almond or castor.
As always, Absolute Essentials is fantastic quality.  The packaging has durable, elegant labels and is easy to open.
